Be Dressed and Ready for School
‘Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.’
Colossians 3:12
With the start of the new school year, comes a back-to-school decision of carefully picking out that outfit for the first day of school. It usually applies to children as well and teachers. We want to look our best for that first day. We focus on our outward appearance and care what people think of us when they see us.
We, however, must take that care and place that importance on our inward appearance. As we read in Colossians 3:12, we are reminded that we are God’s chosen people! We are cleansed and made holy. We are perfectly loved in Christ. What a great heritage! Because we are dearly loved by our Heavenly Father, let us be clothed with love for one another. Our minds are set on being compassionate, kind, humble, gentle, and patient. Each student and each fellow worker is blessed to support and encourage one another. It is a privilege and blessing to live the love that God has given us. We ‘wear’ our Baptism. Because of that, we also wear compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
As the 2019-2020 school opens in the name of Christ, it is my prayer that the
Word is shared each and every day. May
Wellness be encouraged for others. May we daily
Witness to one another in Christian love. Keeping Jesus the main thing during this school year will give us the opportunity to live the 3 Ws each and every day.
Be filled with joy this school year and flourish in your lives together!

Back to School Worship and Keynote
The first annual back-to-school worship service for the NID was a blessing on August 16. Approximately 75 worshippers joined in celebrating the Lord’s Supper and were inspired by President Allan Buss’ message. Pastor Bill Yonker of Immanuel, East Dundee then excited us with his keynote. The date for next years’ worship will be shared much earlier for schools to get it on their calendar.
