ACCREDITATION VISIT
Family of Christ Christian School is fully accredited through National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA) in the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. Every five years, Family of Christ spends over a year of preparation and prayerful review of our programs. A team of professional peers with diverse experiences visits our campus to assess and evaluate the school's effectiveness in meeting national standards for Lutheran schools. Our most recent accreditation review took place last month, and during the two days they were here they interviewed approximately 253 stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, church members and administrators) and made 61 individual classroom observations. We are excited to report that the visiting team recommends that Family of Christ Christian School receive full accreditation.
Our visiting team identified eight specific outstanding strengths of our school:
·Family of Christ Christian School should be commended for their “commitment to academic excellence.”
·Family of Christ Christian School develops students who are well-rounded and equipped for the future.
·Family of Christ Christian School has a dedicated administrator and staff who serve their community.
·Family of Christ Christian School is well respected in the community.
· Family of Christ Christian School has facilities that are beautiful, safe and well maintained.
· Family of Christ Christian School has persevered and overcome the challenge of educating children during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
· Family of Christ Christian School has high standards in maintaining staff and student records.
· Family of Christ Christian School has strong parent support and participation which can be attributed to the commitment of staff.
We are very proud of all the recognized strengths of our school. Congratulations to all the faculty and staff that have worked so hard to prepare for this evaluation! Thank you to our church and school families who have been involved throughout this process. We could never accomplish all that we do without your support.
While Family of Christ had no major deficiencies noted, the accreditation team recommended that we actively plan for growth of our physical building. By expanding our facilities, we will be able to reach more families in our community and ultimately expand our school. We will continue to provide a superior Christian education for our students by assisting our Christian families to help their children develop their individual gifts. It is our mission and our passion!
