School No. 43 Goes Purple for Cystic Fibrosis
Third-grader to read aloud his book at school assembly

DETAILS:
On Friday, February 28, School No. 43 will hold an assembly for students in grades one through three to help bring awareness to Cystic Fibrosis. In addition, staff members will wear purple Cystic Fibrosis shirts to recognize “Purple Shirt Day” as a school-wide event.

School No. 43 third-grader Trent Judkins recently published his own book about his perseverance living with Cystic Fibrosis, A Boy with CF: His Story of Acceptance and Endurance. Trent will be reading aloud his book, which he also illustrated, during the assembly, as well as signing copies of his book. Trent’s family will also be attending the assembly, including his brother Tremell, who is in first grade and is also diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. Trent and Tremell inspired their family to develop the TJAE CF Foundation, which stands for The Journey of Acceptance and Endurance.
