School offices across Garden Grove Unified School District reopen Monday, July 27 and are ready to welcome families back!

Whether you have questions about enrollment, schedules, registration, records, or other back-to-school needs, our dedicated office staff are here to help make the start of the school year as smooth as possible.

Just like Secretary Kari at Garden Grove High School, office teams throughout GGUSD are looking forward to assisting students and families and helping everyone prepare for an exciting new school year.

Garden Grove High School Band Receives $10,000 Grant

Earlier this week, Garden Grove High School received $10,000 worth of new instruments to support its orchestra and band programs after being selected as one of just 18 schools to receive the Philharmonic Society of Orange County's Strike Up the Band grant.

The generous donation included 1 baritone, 3 flutes, 3 clarinets and 2 violins, providing students with additional opportunities to learn, perform and grow their musical talents. Thank you to our Board of Education Vice President Lan Nguyen for joining us to celebrate.



GGUSD extends its sincere thanks to the Philharmonic Society of Orange County for investing in students and helping ensure young musicians have the resources they need to succeed.

Summer Bridge at Bryant Elementary is Prepping Students for Success

Learning continues this summer at Bryant Elementary! GGUSD students participating in the Summer Bridge program are building academic skills, making new friends, and staying engaged through hands-on lessons and interactive activities designed to prepare them for a successful school year ahead.

Summer Bridge helps students strengthen their confidence while having fun in a safe, supportive, and welcoming learning environment. Way to go, Bryant Bears, for making the most of your summer!

🎒 Still need to enroll? There's still time! Schools reopen on July 27, and school staff are ready to help families complete enrollment before the first day of school on August 10. Questions? Contact the Office of Elementary Education at (714) 663-6333.

🚽 Does my child need to be potty trained? While it is recommended that families potty train their child before TK, we understand that some children may not be fully potty trained, and we have resources in place to support families. Every TK classroom has personnel in place to support students with potty training.

🍎 Will my child receive free meals? Yes! Every GGUSD student receives free breakfast and lunch, regardless of household income.

💙 Visit www.ggusd.us to find information about student transfers, Family Resource Centers, enrollment requirements, and other resources to help your family prepare for a successful start to the school year.

GGUSD Offers Online Learning Resources to Keep Students Engaged

We encourage families to help students during the summer months stay engaged and prepared for the 2026–27 school year. As we do each summer, GGUSD has compiled free online resources for students in grades K–12, including access to digital textbooks, learning platforms, and parent support tools. Students may use these tools to preview the next year’s content across subjects so they can be prepared for the academic year to come or to review concepts from the past school year they have yet to master!
