School photos are going well so far, but before we share those details we’d like to announce that everyone coming to campus this Friday (for school or events) is encouraged to wear Columbus Academy spiritwear as we kick off Alumni Weekend and our Upper School holds its rescheduled “First Friday” tailgate. Students will be allowed to wear Academy items on top and casual clothes (including jeans) on the bottom to school that day.
As for school photos, we know there have been many questions about placing orders. We are using a new company this year that does not accept pre-orders. In a few weeks, after all the images have been processed and uploaded to a secure site, we will share those links with you so that you can make purchases or decide if you want a retake. The date for retakes will be announced when we share the ordering link.
Also, the photo schedule for lower school classrooms on Monday has been updated (these are individual pictures, not class pictures, which will be taken later in the year). Please click here to see the new version, which had to be adjusted because it is a different letter day than this past Monday was.
If you have children in any grade scheduled for Monday who will not be at school that day, please request that their teachers allow them to have their photos taken tomorrow (Wednesday, September 21), which will be open to all students and faculty/staff from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Rufus Curry Courtyard. The retake day will also be open to them if tomorrow is not an option.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we work with a new partner on this large-scale photo project. Today we were able to photograph half of the lower-schoolers in the morning, the entire sixth grade and many upper-schoolers and faculty/staff!
