Dear SGWS Families,

I hope this letter finds all of you well.  At SGWS, our days are filled with thoughts of our students, families and staff members every day.   At Governor DeWine's direction, our school campus will be closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year.

Our faculty will continue to prepare lessons, communicate regularly with parents individually and as a class, review feedback and evolve the distance learning experience.  It is our expectation that students will remain actively engaged in their instruction. Please understand we do not want school work to become an additional source of stress in this unprecedented time.  We encourage you to contact your child's teacher if you are struggling or have questions about how to adjust lessons to fit your family. Additionally, please communicate with your child's teacher(s) if there is a situation that will prevent your child from participating in learning.

There are many things such as graduation, gathering personal items, kindergarten and second grade assessments, conferences, and more that are impacted.  We are currently working to address these and other activities related to our calendar and school year. As plans develop, we will communicate specifics to our families as soon as we are able.  Please be sure to read the Tuesday Note each week and any individual emails that you receive from SGWS faculty or staff.
Our sincere thanks to each of you for your support of the children and the school.  We look forward to the days when we can be together on the campus again.
