REMINDER: Practice Room Updates

To ensure fair access to our practice rooms and accommodate the growing number of musicians in our conservatory, we are implementing the following new practice room reservation policy beginning in January:

  • Students may reserve practice rooms up to 4 times per week during lunch or office hours.

  • Reservations can be made one week in advance only.

This change will allow more students the opportunity to use the practice spaces. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in making our facilities accessible to everyone.

FALL SEMESTER CONSERVATORY COURSE EVALUATIONS

STUDENTS: Your feedback is essential to the growth and success of our conservatory programs. Please take a few moments to complete a course evaluation for each of your conservatory classes. Your insights help us improve and create the best possible experience for all students. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and contributing to the future of our programs!

Instrumental Music Students: LA Phil Invited Rehearsal Field Trip 1/23

Students of the Instrumental Music Conservatory have been invited to attend an open rehearsal with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, at the Walt Disney Concert hall in DTLA.  They will be rehearsing for the following program:

  • Thursday January 23, 2025: Eun Sun Kim conducting Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 3, Nico Muhly’s Concerto Grosso, and pianist Alexandre Kantorow performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini.

There will be more details on this field trip, including permission slip, and chaperone volunteers, upon our return from break, but interested students will plan to miss the academic day.  We will take the metro from City of Hope station around 7:45 am, and return to campus between 2-3pm
