We are in the midst of Teacher Appreciation Week, and the Kane County ROE extends our deepest gratitude to the incredible educators who inspire, lead, and make a lasting difference every day. We recognize your tireless commitment, creativity, and care that shape the future of our students and our communities.
From our own staff members that give instruction at the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center (pictured above) to those in every classroom across our area and beyond, you are the reason we see success stories among our students.
I want to also send one final thank you to all that helped us with our grand gesture of appreciation last week: the Kane County Educator of the Year Awards. We have received some wonderful feedback on the event, and we are thankful that our guests enjoyed the event and were touched by the spirit of the evening. It is always one of our most anticipated times on the calendar, largely because the involvement from school communities makes these awards unforgettable.

This semester, the ROE has enjoyed the assistance of several student interns from two local programs. The new College & Career Readiness Center at West Aurora High School connected the ROE with Carlos, a senior who has worked with us since January.
The Fox Valley Career Center also helped our office work with Rhys from Kaneland High school and Anthony from Geneva High School. Together, these young men have assisted us over the last several months with wiring throughout our building, re-imaging devices in the Pearson VUE Testing Center and the Kane County Juvenile Justice Center, updating operating systems, and decommissioning and exchanging iPads and other devices.
All three students plan to attend Waubonsee Community College following their graduation this spring. We appreciate your effort and dedication and wish you best of luck in the future!
