School's almost here! Start prepping.

Welcome Back

Can you believe the summer is almost over?! Neither can we. We want to make sure that our Panthers and their families are ready to go with all of the information needed to kick-off the beginning of the school year.

Each Wednesday, parents, guardians, and students will receive the Panther Family News, which will highlight important information, school news, and upcoming events and activities. We encourage you to take time to read each issue and make note of important dates and deadlines. With the start of the school year, it will seem like you are receiving lots of information. In order to not bombard you with too much, expect to receive a little bit each week, so stay tuned for more to come. We wish to make returning or transitioning to EC as seamless as possible. Please feel free to reach out with any questions.

August 15

Lunch Program

Our lunch program is provided by AVI Fresh. New families can set up an account while returning families can simply log in and upload funds by going to h ttp://www.payschoolscentral.com/#/user/login. It may take 24 hours for the system to recognize the uploaded dollars. Cash can always be used to purchase lunches.

Lunch menus will be listed on the website weekly throughout the year.

Freshman Family Picnic

& Orientation

A friendly reminder that our upcoming Freshman Family Picnic is this Friday, August 11, at 5:00 pm in the Panther Pavilion, followed by the football scrimmage at 6:30 pm.

Freshman Orientation will take place on Wednesday, August 23, from 8:00 am - 12:30 pm and is for freshman students only.

Panther Club News

As we begin another exciting school year, your EC Athletics booster, the Panther Club, is also gearing up for a fun and successful fundraising year for our student-athletes. You will notice new items for the student-athletes this year such as outdoor team shelters, arena scorers table & athlete chairs, concession stand refresh and more. All provided by the volunteers and fundraising efforts of our parents and community. We are beginning the beloved concession stand activities and planning our annual fundraiser. Please join us to continue to improve the EC Student-Athletes' experience.

New Program for students

A new FREE mental health program is beginning today, August 9. This is a great opportunity if your teen is in need of support. They will be holding evening meetings every Wednesday from 5-7 pm. Each session will focus on different topics and teach coping skills, trauma management, and self-care techniques. Attention Seniors! Scholarship Opportunity

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program scholarship is an achievement-based scholarship awarded to students in their final year of high school. Students are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve, as well as their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities. With the 35th class in 2023, the Foundation has provided over 6,750 Coca-Cola Scholars with more than $81 million in educational support. 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected each year to receive this $20,000 scholarship. The 2024 application is now open here for students who will graduate during the 2023-2024 academic year.
