Team SPS, how much fun was yesterday? 🎉
We had the best time celebrating with you as another school year begins.

"Our goal at SPS is for every student, employee and family to feel welcomed in an environment that allows them to share unique experiences and feel embraced by a community that supports their journey and growth," said Superintendent Grenita Lathan. "Our children reflect our community, and when we succeed in working together to meet their needs, schools are stronger than ever."

My SPS Story: Brandy Harris

Sixth and ninth grade orientation dates set

At every middle and high school, sixth-grade and ninth-grade students are beginning their next chapter with special orientation events, just for them.
My SPS Story: Timothy Daugherty, Parkview parent
"After a great experience last year at Parkview High School, my foster son is leaning into the start of another year of growth and learning.

And, truly, that sort of positive experience doesn’t just happen automatically in every district for a transfer student with an IEP; Parkview’s fantastic teachers and top-notch leadership made it happen. Their total communication, genuine expertise, child focus and high expectations combined to blast through every barrier so this young man could reap maximum benefits for his hard work (and firm redirection for his, um, not-as-hard work).

He is now well prepared to launch into SPS’ innovative BASE program while still being attached to his homebase at Parkview. I could go on and on about Parkview Excellence and the professionals who build it for students moment by moment."
