A Northwest student graduates
Graduations end a successful 2016-17

The graduation ceremonies of Byron Nelson and Northwest yesterday ended another successful school year! Northwest ISD graduated about 1,400 students this year ( click here for graduation photos), and those students amassed more than $34 million in scholarship offers.

In addition to their academic successes, students also saw success in both athletics and fine arts, as well as other extracurricular activities. A total of 60 students signed letters of intent to play collegiate sports, and Northwest ISD's fine arts programs saw numerous accolades, including recent theatre wins at the Dallas Summer Musicals High School Musical Theatre Awards and the Betty Lynn Buckley Awards.

Those are just some of the accomplishments seen by the district this year, however. Listed below are a few of the accolades received by students, staff and schools for 2016-17. To see a full list of recent accolades, click here.
