Jeanette Wyneken, Ph.D. (pictured left), a Professor of Biological Sciences, oversees the FAU Marine Research Lab at the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, which has a public viewing area called the Research Gallery. Visitors can look down from the second floor upon tubs of turtles, and usually a professor or a student is on hand to answer questions about the work underway. “Our lab is in many ways unique in the world,” says Jeanette Wyneken, “we’re not only doing the science, but we talk about it in real time.”
