Easy Ways to Connect
Technology  and Literacy

Early language and literacy skills are the foundation blocks to understanding STEM concepts.

Some may see technology, and literacy development as separate educational focuses but in actuality, they are two equally important pieces to an all-encompassing and well-rounded childhood.

Children who have a basic understanding of STEM concepts will become our future scientists, engineers, inventors, and mathematicians. But in order to do so, they must first develop strong literacy skills.   Click here to learn how to use some of your child's favorite books to connect easy and fun science activities.

We're looking for
high energy, intelligent, creative and talented teachers!

This spring I will be celebrating five years with the Children's Museum in Easton.  I absolutely love our Science on the Go! program and have watched it grow and evolve year after year.

And it looks like 2017 will be our best year yet!

In 2016, our outreach educators facilitated an outstanding 216 programs.  That's hands-on learning for over 5500 children throughout the state!  In 2017(so far) we have 182 programs scheduled with over 3100 children and it's only May!  This is amazing!

But the most important number to me is our 90% rebooking rate.  90% of the schools, childcare centers, after school programs and other groups ask for our hands-on enrichment program again and again!  They love us too!

With all of this growth, we are hiring additional educators. Outreach is year-round and programming can be scheduled during the day, evening or weekends.

If you are a high energy, intelligent, creative and talented teacher interested in a few flexible hours week, please contact me
at krissy@childrensmuseumineaston.org!

Professional Development
The Children's Museum in Easton offers professional development to help you expand your skills and connect with other teachers.   Designed for school educators, group and family childcare staff and administrators, our trainings are full of hands-on learning!

We provide educators the opportunity to experience fun and engaging experiments and activities, child development theories and shared teaching strategies from fellow colleagues in the field to take back to their classrooms.
