Scorching soulful songs E.G. Holmes – TIME TO REST: I was first exposed to E.G.’s high-energy and high-talent music when I reviewed the single released for this album, “Time To Rest“… though I didn’t find any LIVE videos, you will still want to check out E.G.’s Topic channel on YouTube…
What is most striking about the full album is the broad range of styles and genres E.G. offers up for your musical adventure… the scorching guitar leads on his original, “Mysterious” (lyrics by Casia), make the album worth the purchase… this is one RAWK’in’ song, folks!
I fell in love immediately with the suave lyrics and stunning performances on “Cool Changes“… there’s some excellent organ, and the guitars will transport you far above the fray…
If it’s mellow you’re yearning for, you’ll find the 4:30 “Plains of my Heart” is the song you need to listen to… I have no doubt that DJ’s of all stripes will be plugging this tune into their playlists on a regular basis!
My choice for personal favorite of the fourteen songs E.G. offers up was immediate… the opener, “Hot-Blooded 4 U“, makes me wanna’ get up & put my MOTO-cycle boots on, folks… absolutely one of the best ROCKERS I’ve heard (yet) in 2021!

E.G. Holmes writes songs...
E G Holmes writes songs across a wide range of genres bringing a little bit of everything to each new project. Styles include fast-paced Pop tunes to heartfelt Alternative as well as Rock, Blues, Jazz, Classical and more. Born 1961 in Flushing, NY Holmes was attracted to the piano at a young age and started composing music by age 10.
Age 11 Holmes sang with the Metropolitan Opera Guild in an English language production of La Boheme, snagging the coveted kid solo of "I want a trumpet and a drum".
Age 20 Holmes had a chance opportunity to connect with Steely Dan Alum Donald Fagen who graciously reviewed a number of Holmes' recordings and provided well-regarded songwriting advice.
Re-emerging on the music scene in 2009, E G Holmes began a collaboration with artists from around the world. Soon after Holmes was working on a song called The Rumors and connected with David Foster discovery - singer David Vanden Enden.
Holmes first full album was released in 2013 titled Wonderful You featuring Vanden Enden's amazing vocals. Holmes continued releasing songs on various album projects on labels: Seamonster Sounds, Shami Media Group, and now with Bongo Boy Records.
These days Holmes calls Bongo Boy Records home and is about to release his new full-length album titled: Time To Rest featuring Holmes and friends taking lead on vocals.

Deeply moving delicious single E.G. Holmes – TIME TO REST:  A lot of the singles I listen to are packed with emotion, but multi-talented E.G.’s new one is among the most deeply moving & delicious I’ve heard (yet) in 2021… it’s from an upcoming album release at one of our favorite new labels, Bongo Boy Records.
Along with his high-talent, high-energy band, E.G. makes the lyrics that Darlene Papalardo wrote come totally ALIVE… I especially liked the line “hard times come; some friends we lose; life’s no candy store – we don’t get to pick; we don’t get to choose“… with the beautiful organ that’s woven into the tune and the heartfelt vocal, you’ll feel a tear come to your eye as you consider times both past and present. 
This kind of song will fit in with any type of radio station; I predict that it will be getting some major airplay – for YEARS to come… it’s a song for the ages that I truly enjoyed, and I have no doubt you will, too… I’m really looking forward to the album release in April, 2021, too!
