Recertification News and Reminders

Basic Rules Review Success

Our two-day Basic Rules Review virtual meeting was very helpful based on the feedback I have received. Thanks to all who attended.

Unfortunately, I was unable to record our first day session. Follow this link to a spreadsheet I prepared that lists the Review questions we covered during that first meeting along with the rule number and rule book page number for each question.

Here is the link and passcode to the recording of the second day session:

Required Rules Review Meeting

Keep in mind I am hosting a virtual Advanced Rules Review on November 12. This is a required meeting for National and Masters level officials. These officials must pass this review. Even if you have already taken this review, you still need to attend this meeting. Here is the Zoom access link:

Two ways to pay your recertification fee:

Your recertification fee is $45.00. Half of this fee is retained by USATF Oregon. The other half is shared with national USATF.

There are two ways to pay this recertification fee:

  • Pay by check. Make your check payable to: USATF Oregon. Mail your check to me, Scott Phoenix, at 1224 N Pennington Dr, Newberg, Oregon 97132.

IMPORTANT: This $45.00 payment is for your recertification fee. It is not your 2025 USATF membership fee. You have to be a 2025 member to recertify. If you currently have a muti-year membership, then your membership is current, otherwise login to your USATF Connect account to renew your membership.

Submit Your Recertification Application Form

Be sure and submit your Recertification Application Form. Follow this link to access the form.

Early Rather Than Later

I encourage you to complete the Basic Rules Review as soon as possible. And, if you are a National and Masters official, complete the Advanced Rules Review ASAP. If you wait, you run the risk of taking these Reviews during the busy holiday season. Remember, the recertification deadline is December 31, 2024.

From Scott Phoenix, USATF Oregon Certification Chair.
