TIME TO MAKE YOUR VOICES HEARD!!
The City of Scottsdale will not be holding a town hall meeting like they did last time at Winfield. Instead of everyone meeting in one place and giving input, this time they have created a web space where you can view the rough concepts and give your input. This will enable them to keep tight reins on the narrative and the conversation. We have included a link to the site at the bottom of this email.

The project looks aesthetically beautiful. But those aesthetics are expensive and are resources that could be used to add more features. Is that what you want? It would appear that the actual park grounds will only consume one-third of the overall available space.
After many conversations with the Parks and Recs people, it seems clear they are convinced that there will be no dog park in Scottsdale North. While saying they are still open to input, Director Nick Molinari has a compelling argument about the surprising costs of maintaining a dog park. If you are committed to this project, prepare to get loud.
Pickleball Potential Probable
Pickleball looks like a sure thing despite rising costs due to the pandemic and supply chain issues. The question of how many courts will be an exciting topic. For those of you who have been paying attention, remember that we do have a nonprofit organization (sparkaz.com) already in place to raise funds to enhance the project.
What Do You Think Of This Idea For The Park?
This is a 17-acre park, and the proposed pickleball courts will take up less than 3 of those acres. We put together the video below with an example of what else might be nice to have in Scottsdale North Park.
Watch the Video to see what we think might be an excellent option for Scottsdale North Park (Ashler Hills Park).
Let us know what you think about the video above and if you are like us and believe the park could use outdoor exercise equipment.
Your Opinion Counts!
You all blew the city away with your attendance and participation in our last 2 townhalls. This is your chance to have your voice heard. Let’s blow them away again!

The virtual public meeting space with video and links is available now through October 15th.
