General Conference Information.
You have heard media stories about divisions in the United Methodist Church. Many of these stories were inaccurate or based on incomplete information, yet there are important issues facing the United Methodist Church this year. On Sunday, February 23 following the morning Worship Service, Pastor Tom will offer an informational session to clarify what we know, what we don’t know about the issues our General Conference will be facing in May. Please join us for this important conversation!
Ash Wednesday.
Ash Wednesday begins a six and a half week period we call Lent, in which we prepare our hearts for Good Friday and Easter. On Ash Wednesday, it is the custom of Christians to receive the sign of the cross on their foreheads, made with ashes, to remind us that from dust we were born and to dust we will return, coupled by the invitation to repent and believe the life-giving good news of the Gospel!

Pastor Tom will be in our Sanctuary on Ash Wednesday from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm to share a time of private prayer and to offer ashes. Come and go as you are able. Please join us to prepare your hearts to receive again the mystery of our faith: Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again!
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you…” (John 14:27). During the season of Lent, Pastor Tom will offer during the week online a brief reading and questions for reflection on “Living with Peace in a Divided World.” Please join us as we seek to discover peaceful hearts at a time and in a world that seems torn by division. Watch for more details next week!
