SUMC Spring Indoor Yard Sale
Cleaning out your oldies, but goodies? Pack them up and save them for the church's yard sale scheduled on Mar. 14th!  We hope to be able to store them in the garage area of the parsonage soon. Watch out for more information on this in the coming weeks. (Sorry, we will not be selling clothes, but there is another way those can be used. See the link below..)
Joys & Concerns

Ginny’s daughter, April Pekary, had surgery on Monday as is resting at home. Agnes fell on New Year’s day and broke a bone in her wrist. Surgery is not needed but she is in a brace and recovering at home. Don’s nephew, Fred Harry, has been diagnosed with a brain stem tumor. 2 week old Raphaela has had two surgeries for problems with her lungs and heart. Carol Frost will be having retina surgery in Northern Virginia. Please pray for our military as they deal with the escalations in the Middle East. The devastating fires in Australia. Sandra Shongo will be traveling to India in January for a medical mission trip. Lora Hooper is looking forward to making a connection with a dear friend from grade school.

Please contact the church office below if you have any prayer requests
From the Memorial Committee
For the church Christmas season, the Memorial Committee purchased with the memorial funds, the remaining three add-on white Silhouette Nativity sets. These outdoor Nativity add-on sets complete the original Nativity Silhouette outdoor display we have enjoyed in recent Christmas seasons.
From the Church Treasurer
Thanks to the generosity of the congregation and effective financial management by the Administrative Council, Scottsville United Methodist Church and Preschool finished 2019 in good financial condition. We ended the year with positive net income for both, despite declining tithes & offerings and because of higher-than-expected Preschool enrollment. Our on-hand cash and endowment fund balances are healthy, even after several unplanned church and parsonage repairs and improvements during the year. Copies of the 2019 Financial Annual Review are available in the Narthex, may be requested by calling the Church office, or click the clink below to download a copy now.
