INVITE SOMEONE to join you this Sunday at 11:00 a.m. to hear the first message in our sermon series The Inheritance of God Sermon Series with a message titled “The Inheritance of Wisdom” based on Proverbs 8:1-4, 22-31.

Pastor Brian's Liturgics Corner

This Sunday we are celebrating Trinity Sunday. In this we are celebrating the Christian faith as faith in the triune God. Ask yourself, what does it means to be a person who know a God whose presence and action is revealed and active as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Join us on TONIGHT as we host our first (of three) summer Free Family Movie Night. We need church members to attend to help serve snacks and drinks and welcome and talk to the community members coming to see the movie!
How can you help get the word out?
Tell your friends, invite your neighbors and share our Facebook post.
BREAD OF LIFE
It's our month to help staff Bread of Life. We need 6 people on TODAY at 2pm to help pack bags and 6 people at 7:30am on Saturday Morning to help distribute bags. Click the link to sign-up below.

Contact Ann Hamner for more information.
Sermon Recordings : Will you miss a Sunday this summer? Beginning with Pentecost Sunday, CDs will be available for purchase of Sunday Sermons. The minimal cost of $2 is to help defray the cost of purchasing the materials to make the CDs. If we run out of a particular sermon, you can notify Pastor Brian and he would be happy to burn additional CDs. We are presently burning two CDs for each sermon and they are available in the narthex. Do you know someone who could benefit from the message? Pick up a copy of the sermon and send it to them with a little note, letting them know you are thinking of them!
MISSION BLITZ in SCOTTSVILLE: Watermarks Camp is hosting 350 youth and adults next week. Each day they will be deploying 25 teams to do work in our community. Below are some of the projects:
  • They will be operating a FREE Car Wash to the community in our parking lot Monday - Thursday from 9:30am to 12:00pm (Come and get your car cleaned).
  • They will be helping Sharon Wormser with the new Landscaping following our sewer repair Monday - Thursday from 9:30am - 12:00pm
  • They will be at the Home of Margaret Hughes installing a wheelchair ramp for when she returns from rehab.

How can you be of help this week? If you are in town be sure to stop and welcome these youth to our town. They are from all over the east coast. Secondly, as you can see they are working all outdoors. So if you think about it. Stop by Food Lion and pick up some ice cold drinks and popsicles. As a veteran workcamper myself, those small gifts are ALWAYS appreciated!!
Annual Conference: Pastor Brian and Sharon Wormser will be in Roanoke, Virginia attending the Virginia Annual Conference from Thursday - Saturday. We will be tending to the business of the annual conference while we are there as well as voting on General Conference delegates. We will be electing 11 clergy and 11 Laity for General Conference.

If you have a pastoral emergency while Pastor Brian is gone, you can reach him on his cell phone or through email.
