We're excited about all of the activities and opportunities available to Scouts this Spring like Spring Fling for your Cub Scouts, Cub Challenge and Scout Challenge, and don't forget about Summer Camp! Cub Scout Summer Adventures at Bert Adams
Cub Scout Summer Adventure Camp is one of the best ways to kick-start your camping experience! We have three ways for your Packs to enjoy these fun adventurous weekends!
 
Summer Family Camp
Have your first adventure with us! Meals, camping, and activities included for the whole family. Sessions are Saturday from 1 PM - Sunday at 10 AM.

Overnight Weekend Camp
The signature Cub Scout Overnight Camp experience! Home of the famous Outback Adventure for Arrow of Light Scouts. Sessions are Friday at 2 PM - Sunday at 8 PM

Specialty Camp
For the experienced Cub who can’t get enough! Themed sessions with higher staff to camper ratio, designed for Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light Scouts. Sessions are Tuesday at 10 AM - Thursday at 8 PM.
Scout Day at the Capitol | February 27, 2019
Join your fellow Scouts at the 18th Annual Scout Day at the Georgia State Capitol.
 
Scouting prepares young people to be good citizens. Spend the day witnessing first-hand the political process in Georgia. Take on the Capitol Scavenger Hunt. Watch your legislators recognize your Scouts from the House Gallery. And have a chance to ask actual representatives your most pressing questions! 
 
This event is limited to youth registered in either the Scouts BSA Program (ages 11-18) or Venturing Program (ages 14-20).
Strong Units GROW Together!
A strong and safe Scouting program starts with planning. This conference will give you the tools you need to plan and deliver a safe, top-notch program in 2019-2020, as well as give you access to resources and programs that can save you and your leadership team a lot of time. 

The Program Kick Off is a unit focused, volunteer driven event where we will distribute the new 2019-2020 Council Program Planning Guide, deliver sessions on key elements to a strong and safe unit program from experienced volunteer leaders, provide answers to all of your Scouting questions and concerns. Bonus: you will get exclusive early bird registration for activities! 

In addition, Youth Protection, Safe Scouting, and training materials will be available free of charge to all attendees. Come GROW together and plan a great year of Scouting!

The Program Kick-Off will be at the Volunteer Service Center on April 13, 2019 from 8 AM - 1 PM.

Recycle for Good
This Spring all Atlanta Area Council Packs, Troops, Crews, and Posts are challenged to join Recycle for Good, with the goal of collecting 10,000 pounds of aluminum for recycling, which will in turn help fund a Habitat for Humanity home for a family in Atlanta’s Westside community! This is a big goal, but we know with your help we’re sure to achieve it.

How to Participate
Click here  to register your unit with the Recycle for Good program. Then start recycling aluminum bottles, cans and more!
 
Can Your Unit Achieve the 1,000 Pound Challenge?
All Units who successfully recycle 1,000 pounds of aluminum cans (31,000 cans) will receive a special prize.
 
The deadline to collect cans is Earth Day on April 22, 2019, but you can submit your results until May 1, to receive your patches. Click here to learn more.  
Camp Work Weekend | Bert Adams Support Society
 
Love your camps? We do too! Come help us make camp a better place!

Help the Bert Adams Support Society get our camp ready for you this summer. We are looking for volunteers to help with things like painting, splitting firewood, moving brush, bench building and much more. All skill levels are needed to create benches for every camp restroom.

Adults, Scouts and Camp Staff are all welcome. Special skills are a bonus, but not required!
