St. Petes Race Day

March 13-14 - Looking for dens, patrols, units, and individual Scouts to help at the Scout Booth at the Long Beach Grand Prix. Details here. Free entry to the race, lunch, racing patch, and more.   

Participating in outdoor activities during winter? Be prepared! This Hypothermia Safety Moment offers some key guidance. When you're prepared, winter camping can be a great experience. Be prepared and remember Camp Tahquitz is available for winter camp.

Now taking reservations for a 12-day hike at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. We have a contingent scheduled to go Summer 2020. See info here. This is a phenomenal experience for youth ages 13-17.

Local Eagle Scout Jack A. of Crew 181 in Bellflower recently enlisted in the US Navy at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center where he will study missile weapon systems. Jack is another outstanding example of what Scouting can do for our youth. Well done, Jack! 

Thursday, February 28 - The annual council recognition dinner celebrates the 2018 class of Eagle Scouts, the newest Silver Beaver recipients, and many more awards earned during the 2018 calendar year.
