Scout News: October 11
Tonight!: We will be doing a Charter Renewal tutorial live in person tonight from 7-8pm at our monthly Roundtable at 3114 South St. Lakewood 90712. Please send someone from your unit to this very helpful in-person session. Our very own Sandy Van Wyk will be on hand to walk you through the steps and answer questions about registrations.Click red button for more info.
Tahquitz: Summer Camp 2019

Next year marks the Council's 100th year and Tahquitz' 60th! This will be a special and exciting year at Camp Tahquitz. Sign your unit up now or email Nathanael to  request a presentation. 
Pack 21 Sells HUGE!

A big congratulations to the Scouts, parents, and leaders of Pack 21 for selling over $20,000 in popcorn... and they aren't done! See photos here. Imagine what they can do with the funds for their annual Scouting program!

New and updated, Cub Scout Leader Guides are available in the Scout Shop. Color coded for the appropriate den, we have exactly what your new den leader needs. Email Randy to check stock. 
NESA World Explorers Program

The NESA World Explorers Program pairs Eagle Scouts ages 18 to 27 with cutting-edge researchers at exotic, exciting sites around the world. Apply here. Eagle Scouts should be working in or studying a field related to the expedition for which they're applying.  
REQUIRED: Youth Protection

Important notice: All registered adults must have completed the new Youth Protection Training by last Monday October 1. Remember to take this training. This is required by National BSA.   
BALOO/IOLS Training

October 26-27 - BALOO covers camping policies along with the discovery of the necessary tools to help units carry our a successful camping experience. Completion of this course is mandatory for a minimum of one adult on a unit overnighter. 
Fundamentals of Training

Sunday, October 28 - For those who want to be unit or council trainers, to serve on NYLT or Wood Badge staff, we are offering the Fundamentals of Training course. For more info, Contact Nancy. Limited to 12 participants.
