Scout News: November 16 
Thanksgiving Hours: The Scout Shop is OPEN this Saturday 9-3. Note: the Shop and office will be closing at 3pm on Wed. 11/22 and will be closed Th. 11/23 through Sat. 11/25. The Scout office will re-open Mon. 11/27 and the Scout Shop will re-open Tues. 11/28. 

Early results show we collected over 27,000 pounds of food this past weekend! See photos here. Thank you to everyone who participated in this worthy project benefiting our community. Well done, Scouts.    

Book now for Summer 2018 at Camp Tahquitz. Choose from over 20 merit badges: Indian Lore to Nature, Astronomy to Climbing. Swimming, high adventure COPE course, shotgun shooting, black powder rifle, and more. See info here. Reserve today, get the best site. 

Heads up: national fees are increasing in two weeks. If you have youth applications for new members who have joined since September, get them in! Applications submitted now are $2 per month. Starting December 1, national fees increase to $2.75 per month. 

This Sunday, Nov. 19 - 8am-noon. Tribe of Tahquitz annual Pancake Breakfast at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church.  Proceeds help fund the various Tribe activities and programs throughout the year. Tickets are available at the door or online here. Email Derek for more info. 

Next Friday, November 24 - At this interfaith event, we will visit ten places of worship in the Bixby Knolls area. At each stop, a representative of the particular faith will speak to how their faith interprets one of the Ten Commandments. See info here. All ages welcome. 

December 8-10 - Only three weeks away: Cold-weather camping basics at Camp Tahquitz. Event details here.  Patrol based competitions, fun, games, team building, applying Scout Skills.    

January 2-5, 2018 - Four days of fun at the Sea Base. Earn merit badges like animation, inventing, graphic arts, programming, robotics, game design, digital technology, and more. Click here for flyer and info packet.
