Confused on the Name? There is no change! The Boy Scouts of America is still the same. To clarify much misinformation out there, we have a simple chart. Click red button to see.

This past Saturday, over 50 cars raced to be named the fastest derby car in the Long Beach Area Council. Click here to see winners list. Also posted are some great photos of the racing action and the crowd.

To clarify: the name of the program for youth ages 11-18 will be known as Scouts BSA beginning February 2019. Note: the organization name will still be the Boy Scouts of America; the name change applies only to the program for ages 11-18. (And the Cub Scouts will still be the Cub Scouts.) Read more here

Saturday, May 26 - Hep honor those who honored us with their service. Scouts will be placing flags on veterans' graves for Memorial Day. Flyer here. Please contact Dave Damp via email for more information.  

Last Thursday, over 40 Eagle Scouts, Explorers, Sea Scouts, and ScoutReach youth represented Scouting at the annual Distinguished Citizen Dinner. See great photos here. It was a fun night enjoyed by all!  
Family Camp 2017

May 25-28 - Only three weeks away: enjoy astronomy, fishing, nature, skits, crafts, hiking, campfire, and more. See Info Here.  Camp overnight with family, friends, and siblings. Bring your tent and food, we'll provide the fun.

Thank you to the families and leaders of Troop 105 for their support. To date, over 30 families in their Troop have given monthly and one-time gifts to keep our local Scouting program strong. Thank you Troop 105!  

June 2018 - Choose from the last two weeks in June to attend Cub Scout Day Camp. Open to ages 6-10. Sign up and more info here. Hands-on activities, fun games, independence, and growth in the outdoors.
