Scout News: June 18
Cub Leader Training: This Saturday, June 20 in two days we are offering Cub Scout Leader training online. A good opportunity for all cub leaders and cub scout parents to learn more about their roles and resources. Perfect for den leaders, assistants, cubmasters, committee chairs. Please RSVP using the red button for more info.

Just announced: a hybrid-camp option for Scouts to earn aquatics related merit badges in person at the Sea Base. See camp info here. Week 3 begins June 29 and Week 4 on July 6. Various options to choose.

We know many Scout leaders and parents want to know if unit meetings are allowed. Read full update here. The latest Long Beach Health Order still does not allow unit meetings. However, we have opened campgrounds at Camp Tahquitz and rentals at the Sea Base for you to get outdoors in the fresh air.

The first weekend of canoe and kayak rentals was so awesome! See photos and video here. We have a few spots open this weekend and we're adding more dates for reservations. Rentals are in two hour periods, limited to members of your family. It's really fun!

July 6-10: Cub Scout families, we want to hear from you! Our cub day camp registration is open. The theme in this year's virtual camp will introduce STEM programming. Youths will earn requirements as they participate and work on hands-on projects at home.

Parents of incoming 4th and 5th graders, we want to hear from you: how do you feel about attending Webelos Weekend at Camp Tahquitz in August? Let us know here in this brief survey. We appreciate it.

Good News! Our Long Beach Scout Shop is open for in-person service Monday-Friday from 1-5pm. Customers will be required to wear a face covering and maintain social distancing. You'll notice we have new plexiglass for added safety. See preview video.

This past Monday, the National BSA released a statement on racial injustice. Read the statement here. "As Scouts, we must always stand for what is right and take action when the situation demands it.There is no place for racism -- not in Scouting and not in our communities. Racism will not be tolerated."
