Here's your chance to race your derby car. We've updated all our information on the pinewood derby race coming up in just a few weeks! See drop off and race options with dates here. Be sure to check out the different categories available to your Scouts. 
Welcome New Tahquitz Director

We are pleased to welcome Joe Warner to the staff of the Long Beach Area Council as the Camp Tahquitz Director. In this position, Joe will oversee all aspects of managing Camp Tahquitz including, programming, maintenance, budgeting and long-range planning.
Cub BOO Ree: Registration OPEN 

October 24-25 - Registration is open for Cub-BOO-Ree! The most exciting Cub Scout event of the year returns in a virtual format with the same energy and fun. See info here. Registration fee increases in October so get in early while you can. Help spread the word!
Small Group Scout Meetings OK'd

Reminder of some good news: Scouts ARE allowed to meet outdoors in groups smaller than 10 people. Following the Youth Sports Protocols set forth by health officials. There are several conditions so please read this before meeting outdoors. 
National Family Fun Fest

This Saturday, September 12 - Family Fun Fest returns to your screens. See event info. A super-cool online-only FREE event will be jam-packed with a sampling of the fun things Scouts do. From astronauts to crafts and even a few special surprises it'll be lots of fun.
Eagle Scouts Jan-Aug 2020

We want to give a public shout-out to these 25 young men who have earned their Eagle Scout rank so far through August of this year. Given the additional challenges and uncertainty of 2020, we say an extra special congratulations. Well done, bravo!
