Day Camp 2020 Registrations are Open!
Day Camp is still on for summer 2020. This year's theme is "Down on the Farm". So get ready for some unique, farm-themed activities! From Invention Labs to Archery, Day Camp is one of the best ways to prepare Cub Scouts for camping and Life!

NOVA Award Workshops
We are excited to begin offering NOVA Award Workshops starting in May through Zoom. There will a cost of $5 per cub to cover NOVA Camp patches & shipping/handling. Eating right help you grow, gives you energy, and keeps your mind sharp. In this adventure, you will learn the basics to camp cooking. You will also plan a menu for your den or family. Best of all, you will get to eat the food you cook.

Online Merit Badge Opportunities

The list of online merit badges offered is updated every Friday at 4 pm Central Time. Classes will be taught through  Zoom . There is no cost for Scouts to register. To assure quality instruction, classes will have limited capacity. Once registered, Scouts will receive login information no less than 24 hours before the start of the class.

All counselors are registered members of the BSA and have completed Youth Protection Training. Two deep leadership will be enforced in all online merit badge classes. Additionally, parents are encouraged to sit alongside their Scouts for the duration of the class(es).

Digital Safety & Online Scouting Activities Guidelines
BSA National Office has just released its most updated official guidelines on digital Scouting activities.

BSA National Office is recommending that unit leaders handle all advancements through Scoutbook during COVID-19.

Scout Leader Outdoor Orientation (SLOO) Training
Need to get trained? Tune into the Great Rivers Council Facebook Page every Thursday for the next 6 weeks from 7-8 pm for live SLOO. You must attend all 6 sessions to receive credit. Sessions are recorded.

2nd session is this coming Thursday, April 23rd 7-8pm

SLOO helps adult leaders master the basic camping skills required from Cub Scouts to 1st Class, Scouts BSA. Completing SLOO satisfies requirements for BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation), Webelos Leader Training, & Outdoor Leader Skils.
