Scouts BSA
Online Merit Badge Opportunities

The list of online merit badges offered is updated every Friday at 4 pm Central Time. Classes will be taught through  Zoom . There is no cost for Scouts to register. To assure quality instruction, classes will have limited capacity. Once registered, Scouts will receive login information no less than 24 hours before the start of the class.

All counselors are registered members of the BSA and have completed Youth Protection Training. Two deep leadership will be enforced in all online merit badge classes. Additionally, parents are encouraged to sit alongside their Scouts for the duration of the class(es).

Scout Skills & Rank Advancement
Totin' Chip
Totin' Chip is a certification that grants Scouts the right to carry and use wood tools. Scouts should earn their Totin' Chip before carrying knives and blades on campouts.

Remember, ALL activities be approved by your Scoutmaster and certified by your Scoutmaster or someone designated by the Scoutmaster.

Adult Leader Training
Did you know that BSA offers numerous online training with the BSA Learn Center? Check it at My.Scouting.org .
Scout Leader Outdoor Orientation (SLOO) Training
Need to get trained? Tune into the Great Rivers Council Facebook Page every Thursday from 7-8 pm for live SLOO. You must attend all 6 sessions to receive credit.

First session is next Thursday, April 16th 7-8pm
