Scouting in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky is strong and growing! This past year was one to remember as our community continued to navigate a global pandemic. Because of the persistence and passionate commitment from our Scouting families, volunteers and supporters, Dan Beard Council found stability and success. Our local leadership continues to deliver quality programming that is not only safe, but meaningful to our Scouts, leaders, families, volunteers, donors, staff, and everyone involved. SCOUTING IS GROWING
2,354 new Cub Scouts recruited. This is up over 180 Scouts from 2019!

SUMMER CAMP
In 2021, 2,982, Scouts enjoyed exciting activities at Dan Beard Council summer camps!

COMMUNITY SERVICE
On average, Scouts performed over 160,000 hours of community service each year!

OUTREACH
Over 130 youth attended Challenge Camp, and 679 youth were served through outreach programs!

Good Scout Award Luncheon Supports Local Scouting

|
The Good Scout Award Luncheon, Dan Beard Council's largest fundraising event of the year, raised nearly $375,000 to support local Scouting. Over 600 leaders from major companies in our community gathered at this annual event to celebrate the accomplishments of Dinsmore & Shohl, represented by George Vincent, Managing Partner & Chairman, and Charles Hertlein, Jr., Retired Partner, by presenting them with the Good Scout Award. Local Scouts Attend Pinewood Derby to Support Scouting Outreach Programs
|
|
|
Local Scouts and their families came out to the Dan Beard Council Pinewood Derby on Saturday, March 19, 2022 held at Silverton Paideia Elementary School. This is just one of the key Scouting events that supports outreach programs in the Greater Cincinnati area.
In 2021, 679 youth were served through outreach programs. These boys and girls from hard-to-serve communities in the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area have the opportunity to attend 6 special Scouting activities throughout the year through the Dan Beard Council’s ScoutREACH program. These events include Challenge Camp, Spook-O-Ree, Skills Day, Scout Swim Day, Pinewood Derby Car race, and the Fishing Derby.
