Heading to Summer Camp but in Need of Financial Assistance?
GNYC Campership deadline is April 15th . Please complete the form online.
Through focused fundraising GNYC is able to provide "Camperships" to Scouts in need. Applications for a Campership can now be completed online. submit your request and read additional information. Printed copies of the application will still be accepted and can be found online
Good Turns:
Write letters to veterans to thank them for their service. The letters will be bundled with, letters from other volunteers, local school children, and elected officials. We want to ensure that each veteran gets a packet full of mail. However, many have little or no family, may live in a nursing home, or have few friends or neighbors left. Many veterans who have been on an Honor Flight have said that "Mail Call" was the highlight of their trip.  View Flyer
Donate used Camping Equipment- our friends from the Scouts of the Ivory Coast ( Scouts of Côte d'Ivoire)  have asked for our help. They are planing to attend Jamboree this summer and are in need of used camping gear.
How you can help:  if you come upon gear that can be donated, as you conduct any spring cleaning, please contact the council or your D.E. to coordinate a drop off or pick up.
