TMR Hammer & Saw Day 
We need your help to get our camps ready for the upcoming season. Join us for our next Hammer & Saw day at Ten Mile River Scout Camps on May 20th. 
Used Camping Equipment can be dropped off in the Trading Post at Alpine Scout Camp- our friends from the Scouts of the Ivory Coast are planing to attend Jamboree this summer and are in need of camping equipment. How you can help: if, as you conduct any spring cleaning, you come upon gear that can be donated; please bring it to the Trading Post

 It's My Park Days
The New York City Parks Dept. is well into the "Its My Park Day" Activities. Your unit can earn community service hours and be involved with helping out in your own neighborhood.  Sign up and help out your local park.
Once you have selected a site and attended the work day, PLEASE contact the GNYC Comm. for Conservation, Outdoor Ethics & STEM  include your unit, number of participants, hours worked and what you did. This will allow us to track all your efforts and our city-wide impact.

TD 5 Boro Bike Tour

Sunday, May 7th: Ride with our team to benefit the young people served by the BSA GNYC. Take a 40-mile car-free bicycle ride spanning all five boroughs.

Spring Cub Activity Day:
WHO : Program is designed for Cub Scouts.  However, all siblings aged 5-12 are welcome to register and participate in program.
WHEN : 9am to 3pm.  Check in starts at 8:15am
COST: Registration will be $20 for youth, and will include your very own POcKÉt MONster trainer hat and patch*, all program, and one meal ticket for lunch in the dining hall.  Adults wishing to purchase lunch may do so (meals cost around $5). *Register by 4/26 to make sure you get yours.
Philmont Scout Ranch
 Those who have trekked at Philmont often call it the pinnacle of their Scouting “careers”.  Did you know that GNYC sends a contingent every summer ?  If you have never been before, we can help you prepare.  If you already go regularly with you Troop, you can share expenses by traveling with other GNYC Scouters. Read on for more information or to speak to a member of the GNYC Philmont Committee.
Spring Fishing Derby

Awards & prizes will be given out! Catch the biggest fish and win a new fishing pole and tackle box! (Note: Only registered Scouts can compete for awards and prizes)  Catch & Release only · Bring your own fishing gear · Bait will be available at camp. All participants will receive a limited edition Fishing Derby Patch. Sorry adults, only kids between 6-10 years of age are permitted to fish.

Shooting Sportsfest Weekends

 Coming soon, the traditional paper registration method will not be the only way to join Scouting. The Boy Scouts of America will offer online registration to select BETA councils to meet the demand for completing the entire registration process for youth members and adult leaders more efficiently.
