This Weekend Is Loaded With Auctions
A rare Air Scout Ace with the type 1 ribbon is up for bids this weekend. I believe fewer than 2000 Ace medals were ever awarded and the Type 1 medal is truly rare and a trophy piece. I believe one with provenance wrapped in the other parts of the collection sold for over 20k in the distant past. This will be fun to watch.
Today (on a Sunday I know) I am going to spend the whole day at the office getting items listed to launch on eBay. This entire week has been devoted to Christmas and hosting family. Then tomorrow we are leaving for Orlando to watch my team play in the Citrus Bowl. So I have 1 day to get my store set up for continued sales into the New Year.
To that end I am running a pretty audacious sale even for me. I have 20k OA flaps and issues on sale this week. This massive OA sale includes neckerchiefs, 2-pc sets, conclaves, flaps etc. My wonderful employees will keep everything shipped out on time while I'm gone.
On eBay I have 47 live auctions running that end today. These include OA conclaves, CPs and more. Hopefully today I'll get the auction calendar loaded up for next week before we push off to FL.
Last night I met with my sister and brother to celebrate a late Christmas. We also signed the paperwork to close my mother's estate. The house was sold last month and that was the last remaining task to complete. Through it all we got along and everyone communicated as well as can be expected. It took only 9 months from start to finish and I think that was really pretty quick.
