This Weekend Is Loaded With Auctions
Over the weekend I published this week's unboxing video which features a 31 pound box of memorabilia from an upstate NY collection. There is a bunch of Canadian items in the collection as this guy did a lot of cross border trading. Almost miraculously the weight of the box was not made up of books or mugs - hint you will have to watch the video to see.
I had a visitor in the warehouse this weekend. It's not often that I get them but a fellow collector was in town to visit family and we made plans to meet up. He also has a warehouse space and we had good conversations about different parts of running a business and our hobby.
This coming weekend I'll have plenty more opportunities to talk shop at the VA Beach Trade-O-Ree. John Ortt sent out an email yesterday assuring everyone that the mid-week bad weather will not affect the show. I have a lot of Scouting friends in the hobby that attend this show and I try and always make it when the family calendar allows. It's held at a nice location and the Saturday morning breakfast is terrific.
On eBay I have over 200 live auctions with a big batch of those ending tonight. This run features many Jamboree JSP sets along with a nice Pellissippi collection and more.
My warehouse cat is in deep hiding at this moment. Saturday I spent quite a bit of time out there catching up on work and never saw the kitten. I could see the food and litter box had seen some action however. I suspect a day after getting vaccines etc she might not be feeling 100%. But one of my employees is going to be doing some shipping today and I'll make sure we put eyes on her.
