Vintage eBay Scout Auctions This Weekend
As promised (last year) I am going to experiment with live selling today. My idea is a little convoluted (aren't they always!) but it starts with a simple unboxing video. Essentially I'm following the model of some amazing guys on YouTube that record themselves "Chasing Cardboard" as they travel around the country buying card collections.
So since most of my collection purchases show up in a box at my UPS Store that doesn't sound very exciting to film. But their model is showing the collection that they just purchased and then providing a link for the sale in the video. Basically, you just saw them buy the collection then SNAP its all for sale click here. I am probably biting off more than I can chew but I have some time today so what the heck I'll run yet another experiment!
On eBay I have 257 live auctions on camp patches, SAPs, along with vintage rank and position patches. I did meet Tuesday with an eBay growth advisor and got some good information on the metrics of my store. There are some things I'm cleaning up and trying to make changes that will move the needle.
One of the ideas the eBay guy shared was that I need to let my sales run a little longer. I was doing mostly weekend sales on different corners of my store. But he shared that I need to let them run longer to let the indexing catch up. So to that end I have over 13,000+ items on sale this week in the store - let's see if he is right.
