Have you ever started a project and then been so determined to finish you look up and it's 1 AM and your wife is texting you? This was me last night as I was determined to unbox collections I had purchased dating back to January so that I could sort them before leaving for summer camp in 4 weeks. But the added pressure was because I was filming it in a time-lapse video for my Patreon group and I wanted to finish the video before calling it quits for the night.
So after setting up almost 20 containers to sort everything from books to OA, CSPs and even Cub Scouts I started tearing into all of these boxes. Instead of filming the individual unboxing videos for my channel this was one continuous stream. With the time-lapse setting on my phone the six hour project is captured in less than 60 seconds of video.
I did pull some of the best pieces out as I went so that I've got some heavy hitters to list over the next several Sundays. I think the best piece I got was a $500+ Florida OA flap. But time will tell because a few of the items are very unique and might bring even more at auction. I've got some extra help in May with my daughter and her boyfriend finishing up college. So hopefully I can make a lot of progress in the next four weeks.
The video that I mentioned filming should go out this week is my May "Inside the Warehouse" series. I try and publish one every month as a true behind the scenes feature. If you are interested in finding out how you can access all of the content I've posted on the Patreon Group check out the Scouting Hot Finds Insiders.
