Yesterday I stepped in a cow pie for the first time in my life. All this while visiting my daughter at college. One of the interesting things about Warren Wilson is that they have a working farm with about 300 acres including cattle, sheep and pigs. We got a great tour from the long time land director and saw all the ways they are trying to help farmers and land owners in Appalachia with new crops and farming techniques.
Sophia formed a tight group of friends during a pre-orientation week backpacking trip so her Scouting skills are coming in handy. After an expensive trip to the grocery store to stock up on dorm snacks and trip to the Verizon store to get a bug out of her phone we bid her goodbye and got back in time for the SC football game (a win!).
Tuesday I'm driving to Atlanta to attend an in person event called eBay Open. Some company VPs and staff will be in attendance. I hope to meet several resellers that I've met online in the past year. I've got questions around combined shipping which seems to be a constant annoyance for me along with some other feedback to give them.
On eBay I have 160 live auctions running including some really nice vintage OA and shoulder strips. On my OApatch account I have a few heavy hitters among the auctions ending today.
Here is a fun story for you. I got an email from the Raleigh County Solid Waste Authority (Beckly WV) stating that they had found my name tag from the Jamboree. The kind lady was offering to mail it back to me and curiously she already had my address. I thought this had to be some kinda scam (because I didn't lose my name tag) but I said sure mail it back. Friday in the mail I got a very sincere note from an employee there and a plastic name tag holder. One side had one of my marketing cards and she took this as meaning that it was my name tag. I thought it was so thoughtful I'm going to mail her a package this week to say thank you for taking care of the Boy Scouts. :)
