Vintage eBay Scout Auctions This Weekend
While driving in the car yesterday I snuck in the idea to my wife of attending the VA Beach TOR. I am sure many of you have done this with your Scouting events just kinda non nonchalantly saying oh yeah remember I have been talking about that TOR. :) We took 1/2 day at work to go see my daughter Sophia play her first ever collegiate Lacrosse game.
It was quite a trip! Sophia scored a goal in her first Lacrosse game of her life (she played Field Hockey all through high school). We got to eat at Yogi Bears Honey Fried Chicken in Hartsville, SC (a legendary greasy spoon). AND to top that off we swung over to Bishopville, SC to pick up a stray cat that we (well I) have agreed to bring home. This kitten was born a few houses down from my mom's neighbor so I am bringing a piece of my old neighborhood home to Charlotte.
My son has already named the cat Suki (it's a girl) after one of the characters in a family favorite cartoon that the kids watched growing up. In the cartoon Suki was a warrior so let's hope that this kitten doesn't quite have that fighting spirit. After we get a Vet trip in we will see about introducing her to our existing cat but for now she is hanging at the warehouse in a sorta isolation.
