This Year "Scouting for Food" Will Be "Good Turn for America" (like last year)
For Everyone
During the month of November, units are asked to complete a service project of their choice to benefit their charter organization, their meeting location, or their immediate community. The need across the Peninsula is great, so be creative and work to fill a need in your community. Some possible ideas include: mask drives, clean-up projects, toy drives, cards for the elderly, cards for service members, food drive for a local pantry, etc. We can’t wait to see what you come up with! Be sure to record your service hours in Scoutbook. For non-Scoutbook-using units, find instructions here on how to record your service hours.
Later, we will have a patch available to order.

For Unit Leadership
Families up and down the peninsula are looking to join Scouts! And the Number One way they find your unit is through This is also the preferred way to have new members join your unit! When families see your unit on the map, they have the option to contact you and APPLY TO YOUR UNIT--but you must have your BeAScout pin updated AND online applications turned on. Please take five minutes and update your pin at Instructions can be downloaded here. COR's can now designate a registered member of the unit to approve adult applications. The online system will collect all national and council fees. This means you will not have to bring any paperwork or fees to the office. We encourage every unit to use this functionality as the only way for new members to join! Full details here.
