Hello all!
My name is Alison Moore and I am happy to introduce myself as your new District Executive. I am excited to take on this new role and to take my scouting experience to a new level.
My husband Aaron and I have recently relocated to Wake County to be closer to our adult children, Ainsley and Anderson. We have been a scouting family in the Central North Carolina Council for many years. I am the proud wife, mother and sister of Eagle Scouts! Prior to becoming a professional Scouter, I enjoyed a career in public education as a teacher and principal in Rowan and Cabarrus Counties.
I look forward to meeting everyone in the next few weeks and months at our wonderful events. Please reach out to say hello and to let me know how I can assist you.
Yours In Scouting,
Alison

Message from the New District Executive
Greetings!
September is a major recruiting month. With the start of the school and scouting years, it a wonderful time to bring in new scouts.
Many units have begun with back-to-school events and visits to their local schools. Keep up the great work!
Check out the awesome recruiting materials available on the council website.
I have contacted all the schools in the Eno River District to organize youth talks and Scout Nights for each area. Please reach out to me for the dates/times of scheduled events.
I'm looking forward to working with all of you!
Yours in Scouting,
Alison Moore

Greetings, Leaders!
The Popcorn fundraiser starts on September 13, 2025.
At this point, we have 9 units in the Eno River District committed for the 2025 season. Our Show and Sell popcorn will be distributed on September 12, 2025.
The product selection remains the same this year, and units will be able to sell online and through storefronts and take orders. Improvements have been made to the app for processing sales, including tap to pay, and additional reward gift card options will be available for scouts this year.
It’s not too late to join this year’s sales! Please reach out to me at jenw54@gmail.com if you are interested in joining the fundraiser.
Remember - if you prefer it, a unit can do only-online sales for Scouts to raise money for their units, as well as Occoneechee Council....

MESSAGE FROM THE DISTRICT CHAIR
Have you done your unit annual plan for next year?
It’s important that every unit plan for the coming year, or even 1-1/2 to 2 years, so families can mark their calendars. It’s also good for marketing your unit, by showcase the activities you have planned.
Eno River District has an extensive calendar of district, council, national, and even international activities that could interest your Scouts. Using this calendar makes it a lot easier for you, as you don’t need to plan as many of your own activities.
The Eno River events are planned through the summer of 2028. Council, national, and international activities are included, as far as they’ve made their dates available (some are recurring dates, which makes it easy to plan).
You can access our downloadable calendar on our district web page at enoriver.ocscouts.org/calendar.
