WHO WILL BE THIS YEAR'S SILVER BEAVER RECIPIENTS?
Its time to think who you would like to nominate for the Silver Beaver award. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the Council.
To nominate someone please click on the form below When you have completed the form and necessary documents please turn them in to Gamehaven Council. Also, please read the list of TIPS for getting Silver Beaver information complete.

PROJECT SPRUCE -
Alumni Committee helping at Gamehaven Scout Camp
The Gamehaven Council would like to Introduce Dr. Chris Arendt and Dr. Brent Ferguson. Chris and Brent will spearhead the Gamehaven Scout Camp Alumni “Project Spruce” initiative. Project Spruce aims to continue improving Gamehaven Scout Camp by completing various work projects throughout the year with alumni Scouters. These projects will occur on select Saturdays.
2023 Dates: June 3rd, July 8th, August 5th, September 16th, October 21st, November 4th, & December 2nd.
2024 Dates: January 6th, February 3rd, March 2nd, April 6th, May 4th, & June 1st.
If you would be interested in participating or know other Scouting Alumni that could be approached, please reach out to Chris or Brent by e-mail.

SCOUT NIGHT AT THE HONKERS

Join other Scouts and Scouter from around the area for an exciting night of baseball actions!
Admission is $12 -For Scouts, family members and guests. The admission is good for admittance, hot dog, chips and a drink.

Girls Grill Out Event
Interested in Joining a Scouts BSA Girls Troop? Girls Troops 82, 80 and 499 are inviting other young women to join them for a Grill-out. They will be hosting this special event with fun activities and a campfire.
WHEN: Saturday, August 12, 2023
TIME: 4:30pm-9:00pm
WHERE: Chester Woods Park Shelter #5
ACTIVITIES: Knots, Lashings, Dutch Oven Cooking, Canoeing, Campfire, and Scout games.

Many of you will be off to summer camp, or have other plans, but if you are available I highly encourage you to attend. Currently not many are signed up and the deadline is June 21st. You can sign up using link below.

Join the Campmaster Corps!
Are you interested in working with packs, troops, and community groups from throughout our area? In spending more weekends at camp for free? Or what about some exclusive campmaster apparel?
Gamehaven Scout Camp is accepting applications for our new Campmaster program. Campmasters are adult volunteers who spend the weekend at camp while other groups are in attendance, making sure that those groups are having a great time at camp and making sure camp is being well-kept, clean, and safe. Campmasters can serve any amount of weekends - from once or twice a year, to once or twice a month.
Deadline for applications to serve through the end of 2023 is July 1st.

YOU GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT BLACK PUG REGISTRATION?
In October Gamehaven Council switched to Black Pug for Scouts and leaders to register for events, trainings, or to reserve camp. During that time, we have had people call with questions about Black pug. This past week on our website we added more details on how to get started using the site, or common questions on where to find certain things in Black Pug. If you have questions on how to register for events, processing a payment or running reports please check out the Black Pug Page.
