Father's Day! Shout out to all the dads, granddads, father figures and other mentors who make such a big difference. We couldn't do what we do in Scouting without you.
On Tuesday, June 6, we received a grant from the Ronald McDonald House Charities of SoCal to support our inner-city ScoutReach program. Announcement here. Thank you to those involved.
This Saturday, June 17 - Free day of exploring the Sea Base. Play, swim, eat and have fun! Canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, row boats, private beach, fire pit, meeting rooms, waterfront patio and more. Open to all ages of Scouts, families and friends. From 11am-4pm.
Hundreds of Scouts and adult leaders placed flags at local cemeteries over Memorial Day Weekend. Check out photos here. We are proud to see Scouts doing good turns in the community.
Aquatics Camp starts in two weeks! Click for merit badge classes. Eight weeks of camp starting June 26 at the Long Beach Sea Base. Fun on the water includes water skiing, paddleboarding, fly fishing, and kayaking.

Staff accountant Elsa Lizarzaburu is retiring at the end of this month, June 30. Elsa has been a part of our staff since 2009. Those who can attend are invited to celebrate with Elsa on Thursday, June 22 at 4:30pm at the Scout office. We wish Elsa the best in retirement!
