Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors Meeting Held 3.29.2022
 
On Tuesday, March 29th, the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors met and covered a number of important topics. A recap of the meeting action items, a link to the meeting video as well as timestamped links can be found here.

Revenue Task Force Update:
 
Additional data to support the recommendations of the Revenue Task Force was presented by Sea Pines CSA staff to the Board of Directors. The meeting video, the presentation made by staff, and the 11.16.21 Revenue Task Force Proposal are available on our website at www.SeaPinesLiving.com/funding.
 
The Board will take the time between now and their upcoming May 19th Board Meeting to continue to consider the presented information regarding Revenue Funding and encourages Members to review the information provided and to submit any questions or feedback to [email protected] for their consideration. 
Sea Pines CSA Annual Meeting Information
The Annual Meeting of the Members will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, from 10:00 am-12:00 pm and available to view via live webinar. 

The meeting webinar will provide Members the opportunity to receive updates on Sea Pines CSA operations and plans for the remainder of 2022 and beyond. A live question and answer session will follow the meeting adjournment.

Proxies to establish quorum for this meeting will be mailed and emailed on April 4, 2022, to Sea Pines CSA members in good standing as of the March 8, 2022 date of record.

North Sea Pines Drive Improvement Project Nearing Completion
  • Site cleanup, including roadside grading and landscape cleanup, is underway.

  • Installation of traffic and pedestrian signage is currently in progress.

  • Crews applied temporary line striping to the newly reconstructed and paved roadway and will return after the necessary curing period to complete permanent line striping and install roadway reflectors.
Stormwater Drainage Work at Beachwalk #45
  • Master stormwater drainage work at Beachwalk #45 in the North Sea Pines Drive project area, between Green Heron Road and Sandhill Crane Road, is scheduled to be completed by the end of the week, weather permitting. (Pictured: Pile of the Removed Failed Stormwater Drainage Pipe)

  • The beachwalk will remain open, but we ask that pedestrians use caution while in the area.

Sea Pines CSA Boardwalk #41, located between Laughing Gull Road and Spotted Sandpiper Road, has exceeded its useful life and must be replaced. 
This week, Sea Pines CSA contractors began replacement and construction work on Boardwalk #41. The boardwalk will also be extended over the dune to aid in the protection and allow the dune to continue to build.
 
Work will take approximately 2 to 3 weeks, weather permitting. The beach boardwalk access will be closed to all pedestrian traffic during this time.

Please Read the Below Safety Precautions Regarding Alligators in our Community:
  • Assume every body of water contains an alligator
  • Stay at least 60 feet (4 car lengths) away from alligators
  • Alligators are ambush predators and can move faster than you or your pets
  • Keep pets and children away from water’s edge
  • Swimming or wading is prohibited in Sea Pines’ waterways
  • Feeding or harassing alligators is dangerous and illegal
  • When fishing or crabbing do not throw used bait or fish parts into the water

Roadside Pine Straw Application in Progress

Pine straw is being installed along Lighthouse Road and will be completed this week.

Pine straw installation will occur between the Greenwood Gate and Sea Pines Circle next week, weather permitting. Staff will be onsite to assist with traffic control, as needed.
Stormwater Repair

Drainage pipe end cleaning on St. Andrews Place, Tupelo Road, and Lawton Drive is in progress and will continue through next week, weather permitting.
Stormwater Maintenance

Line jetting on Club Course Drive and the side streets off of Club Course Drive and Governors Road will continue into next week, weather permitting.
Partial Flower Bed Rotation

Flower change-outs of select Sea Pines CSA maintained landscape beds will begin the week of April 4th, weather permitting.

Flowers that have been removed from the beds will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, to Sea Pines Property Owners. Flowers will be placed at Trolley Lot #1, located off of Greenwood Drive and can be picked up beginning late Monday- early Tuesday, the week of April 4th. Landscaper and bulk pick-up of the flowers is not permitted.

RBC Heritage Road Restriction Information
Baynard Cove Road Closure April 6 – 19, 2022
The Television Compound for the 2022 RBC Heritage Golf Tournament will once again be located on Baynard Cove Road between Plantation Drive and Turnberry Lane.
Full Closure of Baynard Cove Road from Plantation Drive to Turnberry Lane will begin Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 6:00 AM and will last approximately 2 weeks to Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

  • During this closure, No Vehicles, Bicycles or Pedestrians will be allowed access to this portion of Baynard Cove Road.
  • Signage will be placed throughout the area and at various locations inside of Sea Pines to communicate project messages.

RBC Heritage Hangtag Distribution Information

The road names listed below will have restricted access Monday, April 11th - Sunday, April 17th, during the RBC Heritage Tournament. The Security Checkpoints will be manned starting at 6:00 am each day until the end of tournament play. Click here to view a map of the Security Checkpoints.

If you live in a restricted area, a Heritage Hangtag will be required for vehicle access through the Security Checkpoints during tournament play. If your road is not shown on the list below, you will not need a vehicle hangtag for access to your residence. To request a hangtag(s) for your property please visit our website at www.seapinesliving.com/hangtags *Only one request per household

Hangtag requests will only be accepted online. Online requests will be processed by staff in the order that they are received. Once fulfilled, staff will contact you via email (please allow up to 5 business days) to confirm when ready for pick up during normal business hours (M-F; 7:30 am – 4:30 pm) at the Sea Pines CSA Administration office.

Important Hangtag Reminders

  • Each property is issued a certain number of hangtags that varies depending upon the Sea Pines location.
  • Hangtags will not be replaced if lost or stolen.
  • Please be prepared to show your property owner ID card or driver’s license when picking up your hangtag(s).
  • Hangtags cannot be mailed. Owners that are unable to physically pick up their hangtags from the Sea Pines CSA Office can send someone else on their behalf.
  • To do this, visit our website at seapinesliving.com/hangtags and enter their information using the provided online form.
  • The agent collecting for you is required to have photo ID available when picking up your hangtag(s).
  • Written permission may also be emailed to [email protected]

Land Use Rules and Regulations Property Appearance Reminders
  • Household items (e.g., coolers, bicycles, skateboards), yard maintenance equipment (e.g., mowers, trimmers, gas cans), and sports equipment (e.g., field sports equipment, basketballs, kayaks, canoes) must be stored out of public view when not actively in use. 

  • Trash cans and recycling bins shall be kept in service yards at all times. Curbside trash pickup is not provided in Sea Pines. Exceptions are outsized items such as broken-down packing cartons, which should be placed curbside just prior to expected pickup.

2022 Sea Pines CSA Residential Assessment Payment Reminder

For those property owners with outstanding balances on April 4, 2022, your guest pass, as well as your rental guest pass privileges, will be suspended. We have changed the date to Monday to make it more convenient to remit payment.

3/31/22 Weather Alert: Isolated Severe Thunderstorms Possible Today

A line of strong to severe thunderstorms will
move through the region, mainly this afternoon. The main threat will be
damaging winds, although large hail and an isolated tornado will be
possible.

NEWS ALERTS:
  • A Gale Warning is in effect for offshore Georgia waters and South Carolina waters, including the Charleston Harbor through late afternoon.
  • A High Rip Current risk and High Surf Advisory is in effect for most coastal locations until this evening.
