This week, Tropical Storm Arthur became the first named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season. While Arthur is not expected to affect our area, its arrival is a timely reminder that hurricane season is officially underway. Storms can develop quickly, sometimes with only a few days' notice before they reach our coast. The best time to prepare is now, before a storm is on the radar, not after.
