Welcome Sea Pines: New Owner Orientation

If you've recently purchased property in Sea Pines, your first step is scheduling a New Owner Orientation appointment with the Community Connections Center. It's the best way to get acquainted with community policies, set up your Owner ID and vehicle decals, and make sure your transition into the community goes smoothly.

Before you book, take a few minutes to complete the online form available on our website at seapinesliving.com/newowner. Please be prepared to provide your settlement statement and any ownership verification documents that apply to your situation, such as LLC or trust paperwork, a trust certification, or a marriage certificate for spouse additions. Once submitted, our team will reach out to schedule your appointment.

Appointments are available Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding holidays. We encourage new owners to schedule as soon as possible after closing to ensure uninterrupted access to all community amenities and services.

Questions? Contact the Community Connections Center at 843.671.1343 or via email.

Notice from SCDNR: It’s Fawning Season in South Carolina

It is not uncommon to find a fawn alone at this time of year. Here’s what you need to know about fawning season:

  • The peak timing of deer fawns being born in SC is late May and early June.
  • Until they are several weeks old and strong enough to keep up with their mothers, fawns are purposely left alone most of the day and night by their mothers (does) who stay away from the fawns to avoid leading predators to their location. Does visit their fawns for a few minutes 2-4 times each day to move, groom and nurse them.
  • Well-meaning humans often assume that because a fawn is alone it must be an orphan, leading to numerous fawn “kidnappings” each year.
  • Fawns are typically left in an area with tall grass or brush, but sometimes they are left in more open areas, including backyards and near houses.

If you see a fawn bedded down, it’s best to leave it alone. If you see a fawn in danger (on a road or driveway) or in distress, contact Sea Pines Security at (843) 671-7170.
