Labor Day Hours for the Sea Pines CSA Admin Office, Maintenance Office, ARB & Sea Pines Community Center

• Friday, September 1: Closing at 2:00 PM
• Monday, September 4 : Closed
• Tuesday, September 5: Returning to normal business hours

The Sea Pines CSA Gate Pass Office and Sea Pines Security Department will remain under normal operating hours.

Sea Pines Commercial Work Restriction on Labor Day Reminder

Vehicles with commercial decals or commercial passes are not permitted in Sea Pines on the following days: Thanksgiving Day, The Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.

This restriction does not apply to pool companies, housekeeping, and deliveries to commercial entities. For emergency access for service providers on these holidays, please contact Sea Pines Security Dispatch at 843.671.7170.

South Sea Pines Drive Infrastructure Improvement Project Phase 4 Update

Phase 4 of the Sea Pines Drive infrastructure repair project is scheduled to begin early September 2023 with an estimated completion time of Spring 2024. To learn more about the earlier phases of the project please, click here.

Project Mobilization begins the Week of August 28th

• Project equipment, supplies and materials will be stored in the South Beach Marina parking lot in preparation of the project start date.

South Sea Pines Drive Survey Work to Begin August 30th

• Survey work will take place on South Sea Pines Drive from Baynard Cove Road to Gadwall Road.
• Underground utility line locations will be marked by USIC. Please do not remove flag markers or markings.
• No traffic delays or detours are expected.

Tree Work Planned for the Week of September 5th

• Tree work along South Sea Pines Drive (from Baynard Cove Road to Gadwall Road) will begin the week of September 5th and take 1-2 weeks to complete.
• Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place.
• Temporary leisure trail closures for pedestrians and bikers will be in place within work zones.
• Motorists should expect traffic delays. Please use caution while driving in this area, obey speed limits, and share the Road with bikers and pedestrians.

Stormwater Drainage Work to Begin the Week of September 5th

• Stormwater drainage work to begin on South Sea Pines Drive in proximity to South Beach Lane and Bald Eagle Road the week of September 5th.
• Please note, due to the nature of major infrastructure improvement work, unplanned water and or utility outages in the work zone may occur.
• Single-lane road closures and flagging operations will be in place.
• Motorists should expect traffic delays. Please use caution while driving in this area and observe the work zone speed limit of 15 mph and obey all traffic management personnel, signage and devices.
• Leisure trails in the project area will be closed as needed. For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones. Motorists should be prepared to share the Road with bikers and pedestrians.

New Greenwood Drive Leisure Trail Extension to Begin the Week of September 5, 2023

Beginning the week of September 5th, Sea Pines CSA contractors will begin to construct a leisure trail extension along Greenwood Drive by connecting the existing leisure trail at the Sea Pines Welcome Center to the corner of 14 Greenwood Drive. This new leisure trail extension will improve biker and pedestrian safety to the Island Crossing Shopping Plaza. Please reference map below for more details.

Project work on the new leisure trail will take approximately 2-3 weeks, weather permitting. Traffic impacts on Greenwood Drive are not expected.

Sea Pines CSA Annual Rental Registration Program Update

Sea Pines CSA Annual Rental Registration Fee Due September 1, 2023

The 2023 Annual Rental Registration Fee was invoiced on August 1, 2023, to Sea Pines Residential Property Owners who have their property registered with our Rental Registration Program, or their property is advertised on the internet as being available for rental purposes.

On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, invoices were sent to the primary email address on record with Sea Pines CSA and mailed to those property owners who do not have a primary email address on file. Full payment of this fee is due by Friday, September 1, 2023.

Overall Property Appearance Reminder: Vehicles

• Junked, wrecked, or abandoned motor vehicles are not allowed to be parked, stored, or kept on any Property visible from any public or private street, right-of-way, or adjacent Property. This includes vehicles not being used for their original purpose or which are incapable of being used, as well as those that have been destroyed, badly damaged, or which are in a state of disrepair. Any such vehicle present on a Property shall be stored in a closed garage or in a carport so as not to be visible from the street, right of way, or neighboring properties.

• Concealment of junked, wrecked or abandoned vehicles with a car cover is prohibited.

South Island Public Service District Potable Drinking Water Pipeline Upgrade Project

SIPSD, the utility company providing water and wastewater services in Sea Pines, has begun their major infrastructure upgrade and replacement project to their potable water drinking line from Dunnagans Alley to Baynard Park Road, inside of Sea Pines.

SIPSD has provided the following project update:

• SIPSD crews are working to connect new water line connections to residential properties along Plantation Drive. Please use caution while driving in this area.
• SIPSD's contractor to begin landscaping restoration (to include tree planting) and irrigation installation along Plantation Drive in early September.

Explore Your Forest Preserve Program: Fall Beginner Bird Walks

Join Master Naturalists Mary Ellen Blankenship and Jack Coleman for a leisurely two-hour walk (8-10 AM) through the Forest Preserve to see, hear, and learn about some of the birds who call this amazing habitat their home. This event is free, but you must register for a ticket. There is a limit of 24 people per bird walk.
