Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors Meeting Held September 19th



At the Sea Pines CSA Board of Directors meeting held on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, the Board received updates from Sea Pines CSA Board Chair, David Ellis; Sea Pines CSA President, Sam Bennett; Sea Pines CSA Management, and a Financial Report.

Stormwater Drainage Work on South Sea Pines Drive in Progress

• Stormwater drainage on South Sea Pines Drive in proximity to Audubon Road (pictured) and the Sprunt Pond Road area is in progress.
• Please note, due to the nature of major infrastructure improvement work, unplanned water and or utility outages in the work zone may occur.
• Well-pointing and dewatering operations (lowering groundwater levels to provide more stable working conditions) will be in place.
• Single-lane road closures and flagging operations are in place.
• Motorists should expect traffic delays and possible traffic detours.
• Please use caution while driving in this area and observe the work zone speed limit of 15 mph and obey all traffic management personnel, signage and devices.
• Leisure trails in the project area will be closed as needed. For safety, cyclists will be required to dismount and walk bikes around the active work zones.
• Motorists should be prepared to share the road with bikers and pedestrians.

Tree Work Along South Sea Pines Drive in Progress

• Tree work along South Sea Pines Drive (from Baynard Cove Road to Gadwall Road) began Monday, September 18th and will continue through Friday, September 22nd, weather permitting.
• Single-lane road closures and flagging operations are in place.
• Temporary leisure trail closures for pedestrians and bikers are in place within work zones.
• Motorists should expect traffic delays. Please use caution while driving in this area, obey speed limits, and share the road with bikers and pedestrians.

New Greenwood Drive Leisure Trail Extension Project Update

Project work on the leisure trail extension along Greenwood Drive that will connect the existing leisure trail at the Sea Pines Welcome Center to the corner of 14 Greenwood Drive is in progress. Please click here for more details.

Project work will take approximately 1-2 more weeks, weather permitting. Traffic impacts on Greenwood Drive are not expected.

Sea Pines CSA Annual Rental Registration Fee Reminder

Annual Rental Registration Fee invoices were sent on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, to the primary email address on record with Sea Pines CSA and mailed to those property owners who do not have a primary email address on file. The due date for payment of this fee was Friday, September 1, 2023. Thank you to those property owners that have timely remitted their charges.

Sea Pines CSA Neighborhood Debris Pickup Site Reminders

• Sea Pines CSA neighborhood debris pickup sites is a service provided for use by Owners or Tenants for debris that Owners or Tenants collect from their Property.

• Landscape and yard maintenance companies are NOT permitted to dump landscaping debris in the neighborhood drop sites or roadside within Sea Pines.
• Please direct your landscape companies to transport debris to the Debris Recycling Facility.

• Debris left at pickup locations shall not be bagged. Deposit of landscape debris at locations not designated by Sea Pines CSA is prohibited. 

To report an alleged violation of the Community Standards Rules and Regulations, please contact our Community Standards Department via our online request form.

South Island Public Service District Potable Drinking Water Pipeline Upgrade Project

SIPSD, the utility company providing water and wastewater services in Sea Pines, has begun their major infrastructure upgrade and replacement project to their potable water drinking line from Dunnagans Alley to Baynard Park Road, inside of Sea Pines.

SIPSD has provided the following project update:

• SIPSD crews are working to connect new water line connections to residential properties along Plantation Drive. Please use caution while driving in this area.
• Landscaping restoration (to include tree planting) and irrigation installation along Plantation Drive is in progress.
