The latest National Hurricane Center 2 pm advisory noted that a Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Mouth of St. Marys River, GA to South Santee River, SC. Elsa is expected to track northeast over or close to our area as a weakening tropical storm tonight into Thursday morning
Elsa is expected to produce the following rainfall amounts and impacts:
Across portions of southeast Georgia and the Lowcountry of South Carolina, 2 to 4 inches with isolated maximum totals up to 6 inches will be possible, which may result in considerable flash and urban flooding.
Tropical storm conditions are expected in the Tropical Storm Warning area along the South Carolina coast tonight and early Thursday morning. Efforts to protect property should now be underway. Secure outdoor furniture, decorations, garbage cans and other lightweight items that are not tied down.
