Praise the Lord from the earth, you sea-monsters and all deeps.
~ Psalm 148:7
Happy Easter! It is day 27 of the Great Fifty Days of Easter. So, amazing, so wonderful is Christ’s resurrection that we celebrate not just for one day but for fifty days. And on each and every Sunday we praise God and celebrate the risen Jesus. Speaking of Sundays, how about the psalm coming up? Who knew there were sea monsters in the Bible? That’s right! Sea monsters.
And like all of creation, the massive animals of the sea, the whales, the sharks and more are called to praise the Lord. So great is the love and spirit of God in creation that creation itself—animals, trees, rocks, clouds reflect that love and spirit back to God in praise.
You too are God’s creation. Your very self, your life is precious to God who loves you so much. We know that Jesus says, “love the Lord your God with all your mind, heart and strength.” How do we do that? One way is by praising God in worship. We have a fantastic service planned for everyone this week where we will celebrate the love of God and the love that God calls us to share with others.
Join us on this Sunday for worship and praise of God. According to the psalmist even sea monsters take time for worship and praise. Why not you? See you Sunday!
Yours in Christ,
