Searcy Parks & Recreation 4th Annual Pumpkin Carving and Decorating Contest
on Saturday, Oct. 27th from 9:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
There are four age groups who will receive prizes: 2-6 years, 7-10 yrs, 11-14 yrs, 15-18 yrs. You must be registered to enter. Registration will be held Oct. 22 - Oct 24. You can register in person at 801 S. Elm Street in Searcy or by phone at (501) 279-1010.

Air and Space Show and Science Festival October 27-28th
|
|
Annual Trick-or-Treat on the Square event in downtown Searcy
Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 5-7 p.m. Local businesses and organizations will be passing out candy and goodies to trick-or-treaters. The Parks and Recreation Department will have games on the southeast side of the Courthouse Square and Crain Media will be hosting their annual costume contest at 111 N. Spring Street. Participation in the costume contest is free and will begin at 5 with registration. Judging will begin at 6. Prizes will be awarded to winners in three age categories (ages 0-4, 5-15 and 16-Adult).
In addition to Halloween activities taking place on the south side of the Courthouse Square and down Spring Street, the Searcy Public Library will have fun and games in the library from 3:30 to 5. First Baptist Church will have their annual Trunk-or-Treat event in their parking lot behind the church from 5-7; and The Rialto Theater will be showing “Hotel Transylvania 3” at 6:30 and “It” at 9.
Tables are still available for businesses, churches and organizations wanting to participate in Trick-or-Treat on the Square. For more information about participating in Trick-or-Treat on the Square, please call Main Street Searcy at 279-9007.
