New month & another changes - but only for orders that are under $40. Effective today, April 1st, orders that are under $40 will have a 3% service fee added. (Orders 40+ will NOT have an added service fee) Why? With the rising cost of postage and shipping supplies, plus credit card processing fees, we need to adjust how we handle small orders. The best way to avoid the service fee is to keep your invoice open until it is over $40 - we have no issues with you leaving an order open for up to 30 days.

What's coming in April: April will start off with us driving back home and shipping the paid orders that do not have any drilling. Then we will be on the road for two shows (New Haven CT, a new show for us, and Portland ME) plus a short trip to NY to see my aunt. We will be traveling from the 9th through the 20th. Once we get back, we will focus on drilling and shipping all the orders paid in March then we will move on to shipping orders paid more recently. Even though we are on the road part of the month, we will be posting daily on Cabochons, Beads, and More. We will also post from our gem and mineral shows. Cab LIVE shows will be on the 4th (IG), 5th (FB), 25th (IG) and 25th (FB). You never know, we might add one more, so hopefully you are following us so you'll see if we add an event.

What happened in March: Our March trip started on February 28th, it was a crazy drive to NC, with snow in MA and CT plus freezing rain in PA. My dad and stepmom came up from Florida to spend a few days with us, and we got to see my other stepmom (my dad's ex wife) twice. We ate lots of ethnic food, enjoyed spring weather, and went on a few cool bike rides (and saw lots of cows!). The ride home got changed up a bit since we have weather coming to Maine on Thursday evening/Friday day. 


North Carolina Update - Last year's drive to NC was eventful, with cold temps and motorhome issues. This year's drive to NC was long since we shortened our driving days to deal with weather. Plus, this year, we stayed in hotels and Airbnb's since we knew the weather was not going to be conducive to motorhome travel. In both cases, we were on the road for about a month. The drive is long and being away for a month is too much. Additionally, Hickory moved their show to April, which would mean we would have to give up a show closer to home. So, we have decided that 2026 was our last year in NC. Thank you to those who have shopped with us, especially those who see us year after year. We hope you will shop with us online, if you don't already.

What was new in March? We behaved, for the most part. We did buy some Shiva Eye cabs, some faceted Moldavite, and some Meteorites. They were shown on LIVE shows or on a Cabochons, Beads, and More post. We still have some of each. Let us know if you want to see them.

A LOOK AHEAD TO MAY AND JUNE - In May we have two shows, Dover NH and Cherry Hill NJ. We will be home between these shows so there will be less delays in shipping and drilling. Remember to read your invoices so you know about shipping delays due to gem and mineral show travel. In June, we have no shows, but will be taking a few days off mid-month
